Our Story

It began with a candle I couldn’t burn.

For as long as I can remember, my allergies and I have had an understanding: most scented candles were off-limits. The synthetic fragrances that filled a room would leave me with a headache instead of a moment of calm. I wanted what everyone else seemed to have — a home that smelled warm and inviting — without paying for it afterward.

So I went looking for a cleaner candle: one made with honest ingredients, free of the things I was trying to avoid, and still beautiful to burn. When I couldn’t find one that met the standard I had in mind, I decided to make it myself.

That’s how KANDEALA was born. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches from 100% soy wax and scented with clean fragrances — free of phthalates and parabens — so the scent that fills your home is one you can feel good about. Clean, vegan, and made by hand, one batch at a time.

I pour into reusable ceramic vessels designed to outlast the candle itself — a little dish, a planter, a keepsake — because how we make things, and what we leave behind, matters to me.
